The Exhibition Endures — Fela, The Feminine Resistance / L’exposition demeure — Fela, The Feminine Resistance
Presented at New Culture Studio in Ibadan, the exhibition brought together different fragments of research developed throughout the residency, creating a visual and spatial dialogue between contemporary photographic works, archival traces and materials connected to the histories explored through the project.
These installation views document the exhibition as a whole and offer another way of experiencing the project beyond the opening night. They also reflect the relationship between the works, the architecture of the space and the different forms through which the research was translated into an exhibition.
The exhibition may have closed, but the work continues to circulate through images, conversations, research and future possibilities.

L’exposition demeure — Fela, The Feminine Resistance
Après plusieurs mois de recherche artistique entre Lagos et Ibadan, Fela, The Feminine Resistance a pris la forme d’une exposition pluridisciplinaire réunissant photographie, matériaux d’archives, collage, textile, vidéo, image en mouvement et son.
Présentée à New Culture Studio à Ibadan, l’exposition rassemble différents fragments de recherche développés au cours de la résidence, créant un dialogue visuel et spatial entre les œuvres photographiques contemporaines, les traces d’archives et les matériaux liés aux histoires explorées dans le cadre du projet.
Ces vues d’installation documentent l’exposition dans son ensemble et proposent une autre manière de découvrir le projet, au-delà du temps du vernissage. Elles témoignent également de la relation entre les œuvres, l’architecture du lieu et les différentes formes à travers lesquelles la recherche s’est transformée en exposition.
L’exposition est peut-être terminée, mais le travail continue de circuler à travers les images, les conversations, la recherche et de nouvelles possibilités.
